doh
Just looked at my watch and it is covered in dried out dough. Spent yesterday arvo trying another nunnu bun attempt. This time I had ‘supreme’ flour straight from the mill. Thanks tg! However, I mixed the dough and it was really hard, put it in a warm spot to rise, and waited. It didn’t rise at all!! By the time I had made the chicken statayish filling to go inside and made a pot of soup for dinner, it still hadn’t risen and it was like 5pm. Decided to go ahead and make them anyway, they turned out ok, but very hard. No rising means no air, means very hard. I sort of suspected this might happen cause when I mixed the yeast, it didn’t bubble like it should.
I’ve decided to try a croissant recipe and adapt it a bit next time, cause they are kind of that texture, and I know they use eggs.
